Working Groups
Working Groups are an extension of the Board of Directors. Being a member of one or more Working Groups is a great way to develop leadership skills. Group members serve many functions, including:
*providing professional expertise to strengthen a specific program *serving as advocates for the organization to the community it serves *providing feedback to the organization from the community *providing a means for involving people who are willing to give very critical assistance, but have limited time *building a corps of outside, experienced experts whose interest and support are important (including possible future board members) TaLiN currently has open positions on the following Working Group:
Community Volunteer: to identify and/or create opportunities in the Newark community and organize volunteers--particulary past, present, and future teachers--for these opportunities. | Working Group Members
Why become a member?Become a member to join a network of educators affecting change in the public school education system of Newark toward a more just, equitable, and equal education for our students.
Who can become a member?Past, current, and future educators, including individuals in roles outside of the classroom, and community members.
